Mount Carmel Health System
Mount Carmel is a member of Trinity Health, an American Catholic health system. Founded in 1886 by Mother M. Angela and Sister M. Rufina Dunn, of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross of Notre Dame, Indiana, Mount Carmel has grown from one four-story building to four major hospitals and continue to add new locations to provide their patients with the best care in their community.

All together, the Mount Carmel Health System serves over a million patients from central Ohio each year. In addition, Mount Carmel has developed undergraduate, graduate, and doctor of nursing programs, as well as six physician residency programs.
I am mentoring in the lab at Mount Carmel’s new Grove City location. The hospital was still undergoing construction when I began mentoring, and is currently only open as an emergency department, but will be open and ready to take patients by the end of my mentorship experience. |
Mount Carmel’s Mission Statement: “We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.”
