Hilliard PreschoolThe Hilliard Preschool is a special needs preschool, with classrooms that have an even mix of students with identified disabilities and students that are developing peers. The program works to facilitate six areas of child development: cognition, communication, emotional development, motor skills, self-help, and social and play skills.
Classrooms have a maximum of 16 students in two different classroom settings: three-four classrooms have students that are three and four years old, and transition classrooms have students who are five or turning five years old that year. In addition to each class having a licensed/certified teacher (early intervention specialist), each room also has multiple trained teacher assistants. School Mission Statement: “The HCSD Preschool Program Mission is to nurture the development of early learning through play and social interaction in order to prepare preschool children and their families for school- age opportunities.” |
